Our Vision Sunday is coming up in about a week’s time on 7 February. On this day, we will unveil the theme for 2016 and explain in details the direction we believe God is leading us as a church family this year. We will also help you to understand your part in this 2016 vision with the hope that you will be both challenged and encouraged to faithfully play your part, so that God’s will may be done and His Kingdom established here in this city and beyond. And then to crown it all we will share the Lord’s Table (Holy Communion) together as a family. I hope you will not miss this very important Sunday which will also be marking the beginning of our fiscal year.
On Tuesday, 2 February we will be showing the movie War Room, from 6:30pm. I haven’t seen the movie myself but I am told by very reliable sources that it’s an awesome story about how important and powerful prayer is. I think more great things and more awesome miracles would be happening in our lives, families, churches, neighborhoods’ and in our country if every follower of Christ took prayer seriously and prayed like it all depends on God, because it does. Apart from Him we are nothing and we can do nothing.
Jesus once told His friends, “Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.” (John 16:24, NIV) He offers the same invitation to you and me today.
Point To Ponder
“If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given to you.” Jesus Christ in John 15:7, (NIV)
